A Common Place

There is a common place in all our hearts,
It’s full of love we've gained, full of stops and  starts.

Predetermined ways we lead will never be prevailed,
All our romance novel lives have systematically failed.

If our yearning for each other starts to bend and hurt,
Then  perhaps will fight our final battle lying in the dirt.

I’ll look at you on the ground square in the face,
And I realize that you realize that we found out common place.

About this poem

Experiencing loss of loved one, in some form. Loss of true love at a young age and the fear of never feeling love like that again. Realization that you never will.
