Eternal love

A love that once was bright and strong,
Now fades away like an old song.
A couple that was once in love,
Now parts ways like a lonely dove.

They go their separate ways in life,
With memories that cut like a knife.
Their love may have come to an end,
But they will always be more than friends.

Their bond was strong and true at heart,
And it will never truly depart.
For though their paths may diverge,
Their love will live on, forever to surge.

The love they shared was like a flame,
That burned bright and never came tame.
And though it may have flickered out,
Their love will always live, without a doubt.

Their love was eternal, that much is clear,
And though they must part, they shed no tear.
For their love will remain, through thick and thin,
Their hearts forever entwined, until the end.
