Reflections From A Different Mirror

Self inventory is a painful thing to do,
It is when you must be your own worst critic,
As humans, we learn to run from the truth,
In doing this, the reality of it all can make one livid.
Eventual weeding out the reasons people dislike me,
and replaying the memories over and over again,
In hoping the truth is not too harsh, respectfully,
There are reasons people have avoided me like a plague,
I want to point the blame at others, and the blame lies with me,
Reflections from a different mirror, A painful new reality,
Until I can except this truth, love may not come my way again,
Unless I completely surrender, and heal , never to be the same, no longer drowning in self made sorrow.
