Death of a Sinner

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

In the Lord’s time it all shall be,
Just what He said it was going to be.
The bats, the birds, the butterflies,
I sometimes stop and wonder why,
That God made man without the wings,
To fly much higher than all these things.

How could He see and how could He know?
In six thousand years how it all would go?
He new the beginning from the end,
And this is the message I’d like to send.
He never starts anything till He knows,
Just exactly how it will go!

So why did He come to die on a cross?
He did it to show you that He’s the boss!
Even death couldn’t hold Him and never will,
What’s not your creation you cannot kill.
Yes, and there’s one more thing I forgot to mention,
He did it so you could have redemption.

Peace be with those who are in Christ Jesus forever and ever.
Amen.
