All in Choices

There are bad things all around us
Every day, holds a darkness
In each of our souls
In our thoughts
And depending how far you linger
On the feeling
On a thought
The day becomes gloomy
And a destructive after thought
We take everything around us
And float with no personal care
That were taking advantage of everything there
Our loved ones
Our fellow lovers
Our friends
Our family, our babies
Even those furry little companions, our pets
When you take time to stop
Cruising through your day
That flickering light
Is those thoughts of happiness
Filled with love and memories
Of those things you should hold onto
And hold tight and dear
Live for those tiny smirks
And bursts of laughter
The enjoyments before the there after
Anger, rage, sadness
Becomes an envelope of choices
With all the bad things that send triggers
Why is that what it takes for someone to remember
Those funny little memories
Those true reasons for living
Let go of the anger
And the hate
And live each choice with happiness
Each day could be our last
His, mine and yours
Gone in a flash
Why choose to live in a world already full of destruction
When you can choose to live
With a smile
And love
For all that has meaning and life
For all those things we don't want to give up
But forget about
Until something a choice makes comes up
