The Burden of Power: A Cautionary Tale for the Wealthy
Alas, dear rich folk, who think it's a breeze
To win the hearts of the masses, you are wrong.
For though you may believe it's just a tease,
The weight of power is not a simple song.
Your wealth, a gift from parents, donors, too,
May buy the votes of those who seek to sway,
But with the world's eyes watching, what you do
Is not a life of luxury, I say.
The system's moving towards transparency,
A call for accountability, you see,
And if you win by buying votes with ease,
You'll find that it's not all just fun and glee.
For then, you'll bear the burden, the great cost,
Of being in control, but also lost.
Your actions, once concealed by wealth and might,
Will now be scrutinized, day and night.
And though you may have thought that you were right,
You'll find that your corruption's now in sight.
Remember, dear rich people, what you do,
Will have consequences, both good and true.
So heed my words, and do not contest the race,
For if you win, you'll regret the day.
The responsibilities, not a piece of cake,
And siphoning money, tough to get away.
Think of Macbeth, whose ambition led astray,
His conscience haunted, till his dying day.
Or think of Iago, in Othello's play,
Whose evil deeds, brought only misery.
So heed these lessons, from literature's page,
And do not sign your own death warrant, I say.
In conclusion, dear rich folk, think twice,
Before you contest, and make a fool of yourself.
For though you may believe it's just a dice,
The price of power, is not just wealth.
So heed my words, and do not contest this race,
For if you win, you'll regret the day.
And do not think that money can erase
The sins of corruption, that you may lay.
For what is gained by cheating, by deceit,
Is only temporary, and fleeting at best.
And when the truth is finally brought to light,
Your reputation will be put to the test.
So think of all the good that you can do,
With your wealth and power, for the world to see.
Be a beacon of hope, a light that shines through,
And show the people, that integrity can be.
And if you choose to contest, with honest means,
You will gain the respect, and love of all your scenes.
So do not be tempted by the easy way,
For in the end, it will only lead to pain.
And do not be blinded by the false display,
Of fame and fortune, that is not truly gained.
Instead, strive to be a leader, with a heart,
And show the people, that a better way is part.
And be a role model, for generations to come,
One who stands for justice, and equality.
For in this world, where corruption's on the run,
A leader who is honest, is truly royalty.
And do not be afraid, to make a stand,
For what is right, and just, and fair.
For in this world, where corruption's on command,
A leader who is honest, is truly rare.
So be the change, that you wish to see,
And make a difference, in this world so vast.
For in the end, it's not just about you and me,
But about creating a brighter future, that will last.
So do not be swayed, by the easy way,
For in the end, it will only lead to decay.
And do not be tempted, by the false display,
Of fame and fortune, that is not truly gained.
Instead, strive to be a leader, with a heart,
And show the people, that a better way is part.
And do not let the lure of power and might,
Cloud your judgment, and lead you astray.
For in this world, where darkness is in sight,
A leader who is honest, is like a ray of light.
And when the people see, your true intent,
They will follow, and be by your side.
For a leader who is honest, represents,
A future, that is bright, and filled with pride.
So be the change, that this world needs today,
A leader who is honest, and true.
And do not let the temptation, lead you astray,
For in the end, it will only bring you to a hue.
And when your time is up, and you look back,
You will have no regrets, and no looking back.
So to those rich people, who think it's easy,
To win the hearts of the people, with your money.
Think again, and do not be so greedy,
For in the end, it's not just about the money.
Be a leader, with a heart, and a vision,
And show the world, that a better way is in mission.
And be a source of hope, for all to see,
A light that shines, amidst the darkest night.
For in this world, where honesty is rare,
A leader who is true, brings forth new light.
And do not let the fear of failure hold you back,
For in the end, it is a test of strength.
And do not let the doubts, keep you on track,
For in the end, it is a journey's length.
So take the leap, and do not look back,
For in the end, it is a journey's worth.
And be the leader, that this world needs,
For in the end, it is a journey's birth.
And when your time is up, and you look back,
You will have no regrets, and no looking back.
So to those rich people, who think it's easy,
To win the hearts of the people, with your money.
Think again, and do not be so sleazy,
For in the end, it's not just about the money.
Be a leader, with a heart, and a vision,
And show the world, that a better way is in mission.
