GHOSTS OF HER PAIN (unmasked

GHOSTS
OF HER
PAIN (unmasked)

When it is flawless
from every side.
Seek whats inside
Beware the brokenness
beneath the surface.

When it's all you see,
beauty, flee
to the tree
Know it's fake
Couldn't be heartbreak?

When every point
Is perfect
Too perfect…
know then how much
is behind this mask
And all I ask…

Delf down deeper
Pain deep
as an oil well.
That's what you touch

Wash the walls
and open the windows
Mend her fragile heart
Give a long loving start

Allow her to let go
To have her show
These ghosts
That's been hosts
For too long
Drive them away
Because they
Don't belong…
Here,

Where
She has spoken,
Please let me
Be perfectly broken.

About this poem

The inspiration for this came from social media These flawlessly beautiful women Oftentimes paint away the pain and anguish they come from. To every woman who embraced the scars of the ghosts she had to live through.
