Josiah’s Time and Turnaround.

There is such a clamour
A chaos. And contumely.
As we smash idols
Sweep up prostitutes
And their accumulation of filth.
Tear down beastly banners.

But what’s this, a messenger
Seeks audience with a document
Huge scroll that he thinks
Contains the Five Books
Of Moses and the wisdoms.
He won’t be denied.

Bring him to me.
I am ready for such a development
Men for years being little
Gods, little bosses.
Loving the sounds regurgitated
From their own little hearts.
Loving the sounds of
Their own silly voices.

Bring the interloper here.
Deny him no longer.
I trust that God would allow
Just such a thing.
Stop all else and let dust settle.
Gather the people for
A Reading Night, or several.
