Reliance On Self Is Not A Regret,
All You Need Is Within You, This We Must Never Forget.
It Will Come Down To Sheer Self Will,
To Cage Your Demon & Resist That Drink or Pill.
We Can Not Practice Self Defeat,
When it comes to Dying Alone In The Street.
They  Might Say That It's Not About Will Power,
Yet it's Just You & Yor Demon When Your Struggling Hour By Hour.
Its Not in Book Or  A Church Basement,
It Is Inside You &  I Live By This Statement.
Power, Status,  Material Wealth,
All Means Nothing If You Lose Yourself.
My Demon Wants Me Dead,
To Cage Him Took All of Me,
I Have Fought & I Have Bled.
It DId not Happen In  Rehab or Some Catchy Slogan,
I Fought To Regain Self  As Who I Was Had Been Stolen.
A Lifetime Of This Demon Or  As Others Call Addiction,
My Demon Is CAGED  On My Terms & Conditions.
Reliance On Self  I Embrace  it , Not  Fear It
There Is Nothing As Strong  As Our Human Spirit.
