Lady Luck

A gloomy Sunday evening, Chasin came home,
To his favorite time, "beer-thirty," he'd roam.
With a thirsty swig, he cracked open his beer,
Feeling almost orgasmic, with no reason to fear.

He turned on the tube, to see his Lakers play,
Up by ten points, what more could he say?
He kicked off his boots and leaned back with a sigh,
Lost in the moment, with his eyes on the sky.

But his peace was disturbed, by the sound of the door,
Harmony, his wife, had walked in once more.
Five years of marriage, ten years by her side,
With her beauty and grace, she was his guiding light.

Chasin, a loyal and loving husband, hardworking too,
Would do anything for his wife, that's what he'd do.
A troubled past, with drugs, he inherited a craving,
But with Harmony, he felt love and a life worth saving.

She worked as a CPA, controlled all the finances,
And with every breath, she controlled Chasin's existence.
They met as teens, it was love at first sight,
And they lost their virginity, on their wedding night.

But on this evening, Harmony came with a plea,
"We need to talk," she said, with a hint of urgency.
Chasin turned off the TV, in a state of shock,
"What did I do now?" he asked, with a pang in his heart.

Harmony hesitated, but then told him the truth,
"I met a friend of a friend, and things got a little loose."
"We had dinner on Wednesday, and I slept with him then,
And on Friday night, when I told you I was with my friend."

Chasin was livid, he shouted and screamed,
"You slept with him? Is this some kind of sick dream?"
Harmony, in tears, begged for his forgiveness,
But Chasin, numb with anger, could not bear this transgression.

"Get out of my house, you're never to return,
You've got 20 minutes, or I'll destroy everything in turn."
The next three days, Chasin was lost in his grief,
Staring at the ceiling, without any relief.

On the fourth day, he saw Harmony's dry erase board,
And with a heavy heart, he wiped away her to-do horde.
Holding back tears, he wrote on the board;
Lady Luck come my way.
Lady Love yes you may.
Lady hate want to play?
Lady sin is it ok?
Lady Lust now you must!
Lady Lust can I trust?
Lady Good yes I should.
Lady Bad I wish I could.
Lady Wise why all the despise, why all the lies?
Lady Pain you drive me insane.
Lady strength let me maintain.
Oh Holy Lady give me the will.
Oh Holy Lady this can't be for real?
Lady Evil here take my soul, I hear you have a HELL OF A DEAL!
