Worthwhile

I look inside and smile because no matter the hardship or trial I’m reminded each present moment that my life is worthwhile
The most high has always shown me that unconditional love abounds all over me and to fret no more
Any sleepless nights that I’ve felt will be restored and glory from the rising sun will once again warm my soul
I could give up now but the steps I’ve traveled and the tears I’ve cried will be rectified
I’m not a victim or a saint but I choose to believe that I have purpose in this vast plane of existence
I choose to know that my life does have meaning and it’s not to be taking for granted
My external reality has been but a mere reflection of my own compass guiding  me in the direction to more self love and compassion
If I give up on me I’m giving up on my mission to truly shine in the highest divinity that my soul was intended

About this poem

This poem is a uplifting reminder that regardless of the ebbs and flows of life that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Each one of us in this human existence has a purpose and deserves joy. Happiness is a choose that isn’t floating somewhere in the abyss but rather is a part of us when we choose to find it within ourselves.

Porshia Hinds

My name is Porshia Hinds and I’m a southern native currently residing in Texas. Poetry is something that was introduced to me as a child and then reintroduced as an adult when I randomly started writing while in a challenging relationship. I realized that I had a passion for writing Poetry and felt a strong urge to share my gift with the World. A lot of the pieces I write about have are themed around inspiration. I enjoy writing pieces that bring light to people that are looking for hope and encouragement. Im a big advocate of self- love and often write about finding that within ourselves. In addition I enjoy writing about love that mirrors a divine union and bringing that to life in my pieces. more…
