Why Us
Stephanie Obot 2001 (Atlanta)
A bird stuck in a cage
Left to wither away
To understand the way the world is
To forget their beauty
talent
importance and dignity
Made to feel alone
made to forgot their life
But to remember their flaws
Their ugly not their beauty
Their uselessness not their talent
Their insignificance not their usefulness
About this poem
