Twilight Dreams from Tears

Within the dreadful sadness
of the sorrows of love,
Your only friend is the darkness.
and the lonely stars above.

For when the love leaves,
and they always do.
Nothing will you believe,
in your heart to be true.

Found love in the all the wrong places,
let the right ones go.
With all their pretty faces
how was I to know?

That they would soon part
leave me all alone,
with only a broken heart
and a solitary song.

For within a midnight clear
where the heart hurts the most,
Twilight dreams from tears
will turn your soul to a ghost.
