THE NIFTY CREATURE

KICHINME YOHANNA TALAS 1996 (Boi, Bogoro lga Bauchi state)

Looking up to you
Oh the small but mghty creature
Who will see you and admire not?
Oh colorful is the feather
Covering the skin,
The sharp and pointed beak,
Giving food to the body
What about the yellow wings,
So loving, attractive it's
How i wish i have the beak like thee,
Picking even the tiny food,
The colored but sharp eyes
So magnetic are your toes and claws,
Holding any branch tight,
Though, habituated with thy species
I wish to have same wings,
Which will take me higher,
With your wings you fly higher,
But how comes you make beautiful nest?
When your wings are covered with feather?
With cartilage bone internally,
Yet, you are the architect of yourself,
You designed the best structure,
You don't raise offspring on streat
Neither put any in well,
I really want to be like you
Flying higher like thee,
Singing melodious songs to myself,
To come down with my claws
Holding even the narrow way tightly,
I really want to design my nest
Prior to my union,
I want to be handy
My self architect
My self engineer
Building my future
For i wirth more than an AVE.
