The Hours of Life are Running away Fast.

HILAL AHMAD MIR 1980 (Haigam Tehsil Khoie District Baramulla Kashmir India)

The  Hours of Life are  Running away Fast.

The  hours of life are  running away fast

Like the Sun goes on to reach his bourn.

Nothing  is  here to curb the hands of the clock

Like no one can  stop  the journey of  the Sun.

I have  lost  those  beautiful  childhood  days,

The  loving hand of my father  on my head,

The warm soothing lap of my  dear mother.

Those days of gewgaws are now no more.

No care,no pressure, no fear of right or wrong.

Ah! That silver sleep.Ah!Those sweet  days.

That candor,that innocence,those pure smiles.

Who can bring me back  those beautiful days?

Mounts of throes welcome me  at every turn .

Wildness, lewdness, deceit, guilt  rule these days.

Love is gone, waves of spite  toss to and fro.

Eyes flow like  streams, making  troughs and  crusts.

The child of yesterday is father of today.

Greenery is nowhere, Autumn sways the world.

Blessings  have gone, maledictions have colled us.

Time has changed! Nights have taken reins of  days.
