Realm of love

Eliza Irfan 2007 (Gwalior)

The time just went through the roof.
The words we spoke soon petered out.
The sky once we stuck upside down, is now beneath the elms.
The wind which once moved us is slowly disappearing.
The place where we once made love, is begging us to call upon and save it. The emotions once both felt, are being abstracted from us.
The clouds of romance at short notice we created, is fading away.
The experience is missing its place besides us.
The meagre space between our words is clamouring to land upon our casket.
The unspoken words and feelings finally fall, quenching the thirst of a dessicated barren grave. Mistakes are crushing us with the overwhelming force of a tidal wave and we drown in its embrace. The night on the moor ,where it looked like a canvas painted with black and small spots of white colour, is ripping apart.
Hope is just sitting and creating a delusion for us.
Our memories are showing us last to remember.
But the love we had… the love we had is still with us like light with its brightness.
And soon we will rest in peace… rest in peace with our hands covering each other like a blanket. Death is cold but not bad to us.
