My truth

My truth

You're an unwanted guest inside of me

The space you take up though isn't free

It's not just me that pays the cost

It's also my family missing out on laughter, happiness and time lost

I try to evict you everyday

Yet you are stubborn and make it known you're here to stay

The pain you cause is hard to endure

I keep hearing for you there is no cure

I fight and fight and fight some more

But your ruthless roaming around trying to settle a score

You are not welcome and I beg you to go

You laugh in my face, telling me you're taking me slow

You are not my friend but my enemy within

This battle will continue until you finally win

Why should you win though, what gives you the right?

I did my part, I never gave up the fight!

Time after time I've had to hear how much stronger you've gotten

I wish you could just be forever forgotten

You think you can't be seen, but I see you, I hear you, I feel you everyday

I have to put my faith in others to make you go away

Even they have given up

Hope you don't think I'm raising the white flag, you fucking chump

You can't win, I won't allow it

I'm not one to easily submit

Get tested by you day after day

My body is your jungle gym which you're constantly at play

No care or thought of all that you hurt

Machines hooked up you always love to alert

Scaring and fear is what you spread

Waiting and preying until I am dead

Who cares about the damage that you cause

It's like you lay and wait for your applause

But you will never get that from me

I hate you forever, don't you see?

I never asked for you to come

I have 2 beautiful daughters and one amazing son

I can't let you win but don't know how to beat you

You went from one single cell to creating your own crew

I battle you from the inside out

You hurt me so bad, I just want to scream and shout

Then I realize it just gives you more power

Yet I don't know how to do this without being bitter and sour

You took over my life without a thought

When you win though, my family will know how hard I fought

Fighting you has been my biggest struggle

As you sit back, smile and chuckle

You leave me feeling so helpless and feeling so alone

But I'm not saying anything that isn't already known

You can break my body but never my soul

I'm here where you left me in this bottomless hole

No one understands the toll you take

It's something that could never ever be faked

Your evil and don't even care

I'm so angry this isn't even fair

I'm stronger than you, I should be the one to win

You are sent from the devil, an ultimate sin

My creator did not create something like you
You're created and only here bc of you know who

I can't let you win, it's just not right

But your winning aren't you bc I feel my body giving up the fight

I'll hate and fight you until I can't anymore

Scared to death, one of my babies will find me defeated by you laying on the floor

The pain you cause will live past me

Through my kids, loved one and my family

That's what makes me hate you the most

You're cocky and you love to boast

Hurting the ones I love is where I draw my line

You don't see it though, you just walk on by

Without a care of who you hurt

Your only job is to make sure I end up in the dirt

Well cancer you may win the battle, but I'll win the war

My creator I have faith will settle that score

My kids will carry my memory and name for years to come

So as much as you took, you never really won

I'll be here long after I'm gone away

My kids will talk to my grandkids about me each and everyday

And when I am gone you die too

Poetic justice for you and your crew!
