Loneliness
Loneliness is
a solitary journey
that traverses through
the dense forests of the mind,
and finds shelter in a cave;
a cave in which even darkness
has to grope for a place to hide.
Thoughts hit the walls of visions... hallucinations...like lashing waves;
and echo a voice of silence
that only the ears of the heart can decipher.
Nothing moves
except the shadows of an inner quest.
Sometimes, cares and often, fears
cast a wicked spell;
a ruthless void pierces the soul
and leaves a mark
like that of a wasp sting.
The choked scream
turns into a habit
and the dry eyes
empty out all tears into an ocean.
And a mellow memory brings
a healing semblance of peace.
