Liquid Love

The rain falls and I'm happy to see.
It hides my tears and pain inside me.

Each drop shatters into thousands of others. I sometimes watch people and lovers.

I feel so cold and alone.
I've been hurt, must I moan?

I fell in love so long ago.
I think that I may never again do so.

It seems that the weeping willow knows my sorrow.
I seem to gain its composer, that I borrow.

Sometimes I blame my soul for so much.
I'm down on my knees from a solid punch.

Love is like a glass of water, a forgotten lore.
You have one glass and you thirst for more.

My tongue screams for this calmer of thirst.
My mind is so chaotic, it's going to burst.

A tablespoon, a droplet, even an ounce would be great.
I guess I'll thirst, it seems my fate.
