If I was rich..



If I was rich it would only last a day.
I’d see the look on a homeless man’s face and I’d give it all away.
If I was rich it wouldn’t last me long,
I’d save all the people this world has wronged.
I wouldn’t buy cars and fancy homes, I’d house all the animals abandoned alone.
If I was rich, I’d still be poor.
Because I could never sleep in satin sheets knowing children are sleeping on the floor.

I started writing poetry when I was 10 years old. It has always been a passion of mine. Until recently I always kept my writing to myself and really used it as a release and a form of therapy.
