I Never Had The Chance to Say Sorry

It was all fun from the beginning
Having you around me from morning to evening
The laughter
The supper
The jokes
And the coke, we share!
I took it all for granted
Too young to understand what I wanted
I enjoyed your awesome presence
And got carried away by it essence
I failed to look beyond the companionship
To see the love that was brewing in our friendship

SORRY DEAR!
I broke your heart
Not with a baseball bat
But with my ignorance
One without an insurance

How do I mend this broken heart again?
After all these years of misery and pain
There isn't much I could offer now
But to accept the fact that I've been a clown
For taking your love for granted
Greater love in return I should've planted

I wish I could turn back the hands of time!
To right all the wrongs in my prime.
But as the saying goes,
"Time and Tide waits for no man"
I'm truely sorry for all you went through
YOU SPECIAL!
Like I always say!
And should have treated you as such
You deserve more now!
LOVE YOU MORE
