I Cannot Rage In Springtime

I CANNOT RAGE IN SPRING

I so want to write
Of regret and of fear
Of lost love and lack
To keep it quite near
I want to be abject
My rage to unfurl
But I cannot, for Springtime
Arrived in my world

I so want to curse
To rage and to rant
Write my thoughts on a page
But I have to recant
For Springtime is here
How can I so?
When outside my door
All the world is aglow

Aglow with the birdsong
Each morning I hear
Aglow as the robin
Rebuilds for his year
Aglow with the lambs
Calling over the dawn
Aglow with an early
Sunrise in the morn

So I rant and I roar
I fear and I dread
But I cannot write down
What goes on in my head.

About this poem

Sometimes you just want to journal or write a poem to cleanse the shit going on in your life. You get you pen and paper. All ready to rant and rage and you discover that you cannot! It's Springtime! There's so much to be thankful for! So many beautiful simple blessings in your surroundings! You have to park it up and write a poem about your feelings about not being able to write a poem about your feelings!
