Glimpse of the Torn Pages

Rewind to my childhood, when I had scarred knees from falling down instead of scarred wrists;
When school was fun because of friends instead of a place for massacre of artists.
 No dress fits me the way loneliness does;
I laugh when they hurt me, I guess I'm slipping into madness.
Standing under the shower, water runs over my cuts and I flinch;
The scars will heal, but what about the ones no one can stitch.
They say one step at a time, but it's hard when my own shoelaces are out to get me;
Everyone turned the volume down right when I started my melody.
Stuck in a Twilight Zone;
"I tried" Will be the words engraved on my tombstone.
Spilling all your problems, yet your heart will stain;
Just because you're happy doesn't mean there's no pain.  
The scars on my heart are not from any enemy;
And now I realize that the demons were actually inside me.
I play violin with my wrist and a blade;
I am a nonbeliever yet I pray,
My tears rush down like an endless cascade,
While I feel my memories slowly fade away.
In a world like mine, happiness ceases to exist,
While a cloud of anxiety floats around like an eternal mist,
You write your secrets in a diary while I write mine on my swollen wrist.
