Fading love

I saw it when you looked at me for the first time.
That stare and the innocence in your eyes was all new for me.
I wondered if this was all i ever wanted,
I wondered if we were meant to be
together.
But as it always happens,
I saw it again, the way you looked at me.
That light faded and i wondered
if this is what was supposed to be.
The eyes didn't shine anymore and
our eyes never met again.
Shutting all hopes down  today
 i still wonder
if our paths ever meet again.
