Did you ever

Did you ever love a boy
and know he didn't love you?
Did you ever feel like crying
and think what good would it do?
Did you ever look into his eyes
and say a little prayer?
Did you ever look into his heart
and wish that yours was there?
Did you ever see him standing when
the lights were turned down low?
And did you ever whisper
"Oh God I love him so"
Don't ever fall in love my friend
for you see it doesn't pay.
although it causes broken hearts
it happens every day.
You'll wonder where he is all day.
You'll wonder if hes true.
One day you wake up happy
the next you're blue.
And when it comes and you don't know why
you'll worry day and night.
You see my friend your losing him
it never turns out right.
Love is great, but it hurts so much
and the price you pay is high.
If I could choose between life and death
I know I'd rather die.
So when you fall in love
you'll be hurt before your through.
You see my friend I ought to know
I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU!
