Free verse
Won’t you say you love me
Just once before I go
It would mean a lot to me, even though I know
There’s another in your heart, there’s no room there for me
So please just say you love me
Just once before I leave

You have been a dream of mine, ever since I could recall
All it took was just one look, and I couldn’t stop the fall
I still want to love you, and be your only man
But deep down in my heart I know
You have a different plan
