Afraid to believe

Every single second of my life
Every small gesture or interaction
Whenever I was on the edge of a knife
And whenever I couldn't find satisfaction
I always thought what's wrong with me
But all I needed was someone who could listen my story
But I was too afraid to believe
So I kept it all silently to myself and me only.

This poem is simply about the insecurity which almost every teenager faces at a point of time. We are afraid that our feelings will be exposed to someone and the consequences might not be positive. That's why we are afraid to believe..
