A Heart of Gold: A Poem for Beijing the Pitbull

She's got a coat of red and eyes that gleam
A gentle soul, but tough as steel
She's a red nose pit, a true queen
Her name's Beijing, and she's real

She's got a bark that echoes loud
And wags her tail with glee
She's got a heart that's made of gold
And love for you, she'll always be

She's quick to learn, and quick to play
A friend to all, she never meets
She's got a soul that's pure and bright
And in her eyes, you'll find her beat

She's got a grin that lights up the room
And a tongue that never rests
She's always there to lend a paw
And love to you, she does attest

So here's to Beijing, our girl
A pitbull with a heart so true
She's got a spirit that soars high
And love for all, she'll always do
