Stoic Serendipity: A Journey to Tranquility
Amidst the turmoil of this life, a path to peace
Is found by those who seek the Stoic ways,
A journey that requires much skill and ease
To find the inner calm that brings true grace.
The first of these is to schedule stillness,
A moment of reflection, away from strife,
Where one can meditate, and find delight
In the calm that follows moments of silence.
To take the view from above, is next in line,
To see the world with clarity and respect,
And find the peace that comes with every sign,
Of beauty found in everyday life, unkempt.
Reflect often, and gain insight so fine,
Into the world, and into one's own life,
For in this quest, a wisdom so divine
Is found, that brings peace, and ends all strife.
Live by a code, that brings virtue to the fold,
Remember whose opinion truly matters,
And Memento Mori, lest one grows old,
Forgetting that life is fleeting, like scattered tatters.
So walk this path to peace, with heart and mind,
And find the serenity that you have sought,
For in this quest, a truth so hard to find,
Will be yours, and peace will be the final resort.
