Inception

Staying quiet while my heart's singing loud because I know what I want but feel like I'm not allowed.
Looking from afar I start sweating from your body heat, our eyes meet... now my body's weak and I'm yearning for a situation way less bleak.
I hear you calling out for me without using your words and I know that a response could take us higher than the birds.
Delusional?
Hopeful?
Where is the line?
My body is made up but not my mind it's still debating.
Resiliency is fading as my heart stays waiting with the rate-changing pace every time I share a space with you.
My mind's busy planning all the dates I want to take with you and I'm not feeling bad because the time won't be wasted with you.
I'm hungry for the whole meal, more than just a taste of you. Craving inspiration 'til you walk by and wave, now I'm drowning in feelings without looking to be saved.
Lucky and grateful even with a tiny sample.
Take my hand, we'll dive in and be our example. Valid emotions that I'm excited to explore could be deeper than the oceans so no more watching from shore.

About this poem

Trapped feelings sometimes come out on paper. I wrote this one at school.
