Unicorn
Martin Kinyua 1999 (Nyeri)
Wish I could tell him to let him be.
Wish I could tell him to let him in .
I know he is happy.
Life fulfilled, not living miserably.
Miserable as I am.
He followed his passion.
But his father never came to terms.
To terms with his son's choice.
He says, “That won't pay the bills. ”
But the son is contented.
I know because I saw him.
Saw him when he was silent.
The silence of contemplating what's next.
The silence of the lamb .
The silence in that kid.
I am afraid though.
What if he was inculcated into a cult?
No, what if he is inculcated into the cult?
Lose his ability to make sober decisions.
Drank in religion
High on religion..
I can only hope his freewill is not affected.
