Speaking With My Soul

Here I sit in solitude,
Just me and my consciousness,
Embracing the darkness of my soul,
Working on myself,
To free myself,
Awakening my soul,
To the truth of my existence,
So many emotions flooding,
So many traumas to sort thru,
Anger,
Sadness,
Guilt,
Shame,
Happiness,
Abandonment,
My childhood,
Loss,
Embracing them,
Working with them,
Forgiving myself for my past,
Releasing the emotions,
That are no longer needed,
If I don't embrace my darkness,
I can never truly show my light,
I'm doing my best from day to day,
Sometimes my best is not enough,
But I keep pushing,
Making my reality the best I can,
I will never give up on myself,
As that is all I have,
In the end it's me,
Nobody else,
Holding the key to happiness,
Holding the key to a prosperous life,
Holding the key to my potential,
Failure is just a setback,
A learning curve,
I must pick myself up,
I must push on,
Only I can do this for myself,
Nobody can fix me but me,
You got this kind soul.
