Goodbye

Tiffany Harry 1987 (New Mexico)

Saying goodbye is never easy
Saying goodbye is always hard
I remember the day that the nurses took you away

What I wouldn’t give to hold you
What I wouldn’t give to see you smile
But you are with the angels now
A million miles away

You will always be in my heart
Always on my mind
Remember you forever my ray of sunshine

The sadness will eventually fade
But the image of your smile will never go away
You may not be here with me
But your spirit can’t stay on this plane

Goodbye my baby
Goodbye my sweet
Your spirit lives on
You will always be a part of me

But I have to say goodbye
I will see you again one day
Until then goodbye

I wrote this poem because nine years ago I lost a child and saying goodbye was the hardest thing I have ever done more…
