Love/(Hate)

Stell 2004 (Thessaloniki)

Loving you feels like summer days,
the feeling of your warm embrace.
Feels like watching the sunset after a long day,
or perhaps the rays of sunshine touching my cold face.

Hating you feels like when winter first creeps in.
When snow touches my skin,
exactly where your hands once been;
I'd rather burn those places with gasoline.

Now is the part you'd say ''Hate is a strong word''
and I would fight you and tell you that you're wrong.
And you just hold me in your arms all night long,
knowing that with you is where I belong.

And then you would abandon me like the first time,
and I wouldn't sleep trying to find what didn't go right.
I'd text you ''I hate you, this was the last time'',
while not even a piece of hatred for you is in that body of mine.

About this poem

This poem is all about unrequited love. It's about loving a person so much knowing that they're using you, always falling into their traps, trying to hate them but still ending up in the same situation.
