Is it a Happy Ending?

Free verse
So today I write. ✍️
It has been long since I wrote.
Five years ago I wrote.
Much and many have changed.
But the conflict still lingers on
I know  that I knew late
I knew I liked it not  
But now It has been five years
I have learned from it
I have learned to cope with it
It is a friend who we no more
Who helped me be at peace
