Little did you know, mother.

How i wish to see you grow' ,
Medals , trophies,  certificates and so.
I gave you everything and more beyond,
Working hard to make you  more proud .

Tried to excel in everything , instead
'You are a jack of all trades' you said .
To win , all i needed was your strength,
Not knowing we had a different wavelength.

Celebration of my victory didn't bother ,
My loss was more concerned rather.
'Look at her , look at them' you said
Not knowing i was also moving good in life further ahead .

Your words cut deeper than a knife ,
Buh i still heard it all this while . .
'You're hopeless and characterless ' you said
I tried my best to get this off my head .

Friends , dance , sports and a boy were keeping me alive ,
Through the rough days of mine .
I know some day they'll all make me the person i ought to be ,
Happy , successful and free .
