In The Quiet Monents

It is in the quiet moments, my dear
That the grace of God appears to give hope
In the darkest hours, he subsides our fears
Giving us the ability to cope

Give up the air so toxic to breathe
The blackness of coal thy eyes
perceived
The petals of grace caress thy wreath
The breeze of the night passed through to grieve

Life, my dear, the journey is in us found
Time heals us not, through winter's harshest snow
Minutes measured in years ticking is the sound
If not by faith, thy blood would cease to flow

Grief is but love set adrift in thy soul
Acceptance defeats ignorance
thou weeps.
