I Call Them Son

I have loved them from the moment I knew of their existence.
Unlike any love I have known, no other could compare.
I have the honor of calling them Son!
Many mistakes I have made in life, I know I did two things perfectly right, looking into my boys eyes!
Causing chaos, calming my storms all at once.
Ironically, my greatest weaknesses and strengths.
Grateful, blessed knowing true love, unconditionally.
Seeing the potinal in the grown men they have the ability to become.
Both amazing already, still young.
I am beyond proud, they call me Mom!
In no rush, for them to get older.
Excited to watch as they turn into adults, with lives of their own.
I can not prevent them getting hurt, one of the hard lessons, how life goes.
I will use every fiber of my being, helping them up from rock bottom, should they have the misfortune of finding it.
I will be there everyday, whether good or bad.
On the days I don't see myself in them, I'll say, they got it from their Father.
Nothing wrong with that at all, he was once my love also.
Their worlds, turned upside down since the split.
All said and done, they will have useful knowledge to get through life with!
Ever only, wanting for them to love themselves and be who they want to be.
As an adult, I know this task is hard!
May they never question their worth, for they are deserving of everything.
May they know, not a soul on this planet matters more to me.
I live and would die for them, they are, the reason I breathe!
Thank you for molding me into the woman I am now.
Jaxon and Parker, I love you my sons best and most, until my days are done!
