Fog of War

Eternally white plains stained,
Stained darkly and squarely,
Battle horns roar soundly
One by one they march forwards
Despite danger, they march onwards

From the mist they appeared
Striking down all in their path
Trading lives, fighting, filled with wrath
Sudden death cry from behind
Turning around, dead king they find

About this poem

As it may or may not be obvious from the poem’s ending and title. This is about a variant of chess known as “Fog of War”. I came up with the idea to make the poem when I was thinking about how to make a winter themed poem, and came up with this idea of a somewhat Christmas themed chess poem.

I have no intention of winning the money or mugs I am just here to share some poetry in hopes that someone will enjoy or like it! more…
