Darkness and Light

Long, long ago,
When there was empty space and no time
Our Source created the dual balance
of the darkness and light
Cast the energies into flames
And split them in two
With a mission to reunite
And become one, Me and You

I was born on this planet
When the Earth's spirit was still alive
Danced in green pastures
Loved, learned and thrived
All life was now here
They lived quietly in peace
All seemed to be right
With every plant, human and beast

The forests were luscious
Full of oxygen and energy
Where we could all go to heal
Amongst the magic of the trees
Miles and miles of meadows
With the most colorful of flowers
Where a child was born
With a different set of powers

We watched you grow
And watched you strive
But a darkness took over
Once your spirit had arrived
Gaia lost her Goddess energy
In which positivity was derived
And now that it was stolen
Her great spirit was barely alive

Evil leaders took over
Dark magic was cast about
All human love that existed
Was now simply in doubt
Mystical stories were being shared
And taken for truth
But all religion was a lie
To drive humanity to die in youth

Tricky phrases used
Talking of heavens, angels and good
Was just a nice sounding facade
To cover up secrets of the Brotherhood
The Source was well aware
Of these conflicts it had created
Watching us battle it out
After the rules were clearly stated

As we switched sides, through lives,
Over and over again
When we died this last time
We noticed a saddening trend
Time would go on
And we must change the course of history
Providing love for our Mother
To give her back her Goddess energy

We knew this time around
We'd have to kill our passionate rage
Stop destroying and come together
To be set free from our cage
We would grow up to 28 years
Searching for one another
That we'd fall desperately this time
To live our final lives as lovers
