A selfless act of KINDNESS

In a world full of brutality, where everyone is busy waging wars
Where everyone seems adamant on making a mark of gore and vitality
I too wanted to leave a legacy, a piece of me
So i planted a sapling with love and care
In hopes of changing the world, in hopes of recieving my fare share.
The love that was lost on me, the care that was subdued.

In the depths of earth where many secrets are burried ,the poor sapling stood aghast
Witnessing the horrors of war and crime
Of how people treat each other with viciousness, how they despise.
Long stood the Sapling lost and weak, crying alone and asking for help where no one could.
How did the world change so much, where's the love and brotherhood he had imagined.
He feared the real world where people sabotaged your freedom, where hurt was inevitable.

Amidst all chaos however ,little sapling suddenly delighted to realize, it won't follow the herd and become an item of misery .
For it was planted by a kind man in hopes of bringing back what's lost
Outspread love and kindness in a brazen land, invigorating goodness of its own.

Soon the reluctant sapling cracked through the surface to the sight of morning sun
Adamant on fulfilling its virtue ,it continued the journey regardless the disparage.
Someone called it a feeble wimp ,some said" you are too soft for all of it".
However no one saw the real strength in growing amidst the snubs.

One day finally there stood a beautiful tree whose sight was such a treat
That whole carnage came to a sudden hault
The blossoms that shown in full glory reflected the compassion and purpose
With which a small planter once had dreamt of changing the  world order.
Where this world seems like a blatant lie, a selfless act of kindness paved the way.
On hopes of returning the love that he has been yearning far too long
The planter loaded his vessels and cargo and set sail.

About this poem

This poem is about the predicament where we find ourselves caught between the idea that however nice and kind we try to be it's not reciprocated, not even close.so we end up hurt and disappointed. But whatever the outcome,we should never let anyone's underappreciation or behavior change the way we behave or alter the amount of goodness we harbour for others.
