The Wedding Guest
Hey lover, I guess we could call this more than a crush
Our first introduction was no more than a smile and blush
As we look in the each others eyes and our hands gently shake
Opportunity has presented itself and I’ll humbly take
With drink in hand and confidence at its highest peak
Your resistance from me is rapidly getting weak
I pursued from a distance but now I’m close
Your man raises his glass to propose a toast
You stand beside him, but you stare at me
It’s amazing that he’s blind to what others can see
It’s funny how he thinks he got you “lock and key”
It’s funny that by the end of the night you’ll be sleeping with me
Its funny how the night goes on and with him you stay
But as the night goes on, you drift my way
That is why I stand still and wait
By the time he finds out you’ve gone, it’ll be too late
He turns and I pull you outside
It’s amazing how you recognize my ride
You jump in fast with a grin on your face
I ask “where” and you say “your place”
So to my house where dinner is prepared and bed is made
Don’t worry about cleaning afterwards, I got a maid
Don’t worry about him chasing, I got guards at the gate
Don’t worry about him hurting, it’s just too damn late
Don’t worry about what people think and his sorrow
The stuff you left behind, I’ll replace 3 times tomorrow
People are going to say that I’m wrong and a total mess
By-the-way, take off that cheap ring and wedding dress!!
I’m not just good at what I do
I'm the best
I’m your man’s worst dream, I’m the wedding guest
