In passing

I think I saw you today miss lady
I think you saw me too
Because I felt eyes across my face
an attraction unseen yet undeniable
my heart, like the deepest of seas where I keep my feelings hidden
But the memory of our last encounter is like a buoyant force rushing them to the surface
never have I been able to swim yet the hope of you keeps  my breast stroke strong until you drift away in the horizon
holding my breath hoping the lighthouse I see is your house as the current pulls me adrift.
