Poetically Unfaithful (part 1)

I listen to “kind of blue” by Miles Davis to keep me mellow
To keep me calm with weapon of choice in hand
This blade I hold over the heart of you
To keep my hand steady
No mistakes to be made
With every incision so precise
No initial painful sensation
Just a slight awakening as if the morning sun just hit the skin a minute earlier than normal
The body’s temperature slowly dropping
The small but steady trickling of dark fluid that runs down into a pool of its own
So sharp is my blade, it has entered and returned back to its sheath without a being seen
Without being felt other than a slight sting
Yet the fluid of you populates the floor leaving nowhere to step without leaving footprints
