wishes
as I sit at that ledge, staring at the stars
i can’t help but wish I had your company
though it used to be in a way of much intensity and yearning,
i now dream of spending the night laughing and seeing each other
in a light that doesn’t require much dwelling or thought
because I know that’s what you’d want, instead of anything more
