Far from home

The Poetess 2001 (Sunyani)

Far from where We were birthed

From the start We were stripped Of the glory we carry

But we held the pride of our root in Us, where we were shaped by our ancestors They called Us the generation to lead

But here we were taken and stripped of everything that made us who we are We are

 Far from home
But we have our pride
We were gifted by our ancestors before Our birth

We are far from home But may be there will be hope To lead Us to where we were birthed and nurtured with nature.

That one day we will go back home To tell the stories of our journey away from home
