Man Ablaze

Riaan Smit 1988 (Windhoek)

Here she comes there she goes, tiny feet sexy toes
And I’m feeling mighty blessed
She’s coming in a tempting sin
And I’m not feeling the slightest bit stressed
Have a hit, take a trip, have a sip from me, and I will set you free

The carpenter trades away his only working tools
As he hides behind a tapestry of lies that’s been woven, for fools
I’ll be ready

I’ll be ready, to try
I’ll be ready to die,
I’ll be ready for the next simple stage of life

Here she comes there she goes, tiny feet sexy toes
And I’m feeling mighty fine
Here’s my mind, dowsed in wine
It's all a part of dying young
I’ll see what I become
Have a hit take a trip, have a sip from me, and I will set you free

The carpenter trades away his only working tools
As he hides behind a tapestry of lies that’s been woven, for fools
I’ll be ready

Reminiscent wonders
The tortures of the self
Next chance for a romance
And I’ll buy it off the shelf
The more I stop to think
the more I want to drink
so I’m standing in line
waiting for my time to die
