Name That Favor

Name that favor,
You say to others...
You have done for me personally.

If I have written plays,
To have characters in them portrayed by you.
And those we both knew,
Had no experience or a clue...
What it takes to perform on stage.
To make look easy to do.
Then want to get paid.
Yet refuse to promote,
Their own talents and skills.
Done to argue over why lines to learn,
From a script to say exactly as written.
The day before the play is scheduled to open!

And I am the one accused,
For having too high expectations.
When my time is being wasted.
With a listening to hear you say,
I should appreciate the favor...
You and others are doing for me.
At my expense to pay someone else,
Who tells me...
'Selling tickets to attract an audience,
To their own performances is beneath them?!'

Let this be said to you to hear it heard clearly,
Call me whatever it is...
You seek to have people to believe.
However...
I know of no one,
Who volunteers to open the door...
And pay,
For someone else's possible success.
Then to have that ungrateful,
Disrespecting person say...
A favor they are doing is not appreciated!
Although...
We are living in those times, aren't we?
Then to wonder why children grow up,
Villains who dupe deceive cheat and lie!
And become our elected chosen leaders.
