Alone in Nature

The beauty of nature stands out more to the alone
The solitary soul awes what makes them feel home
Home to most rests in the heart of another
But my heart cries out to what I do not bother
The waves in the sea crash without a care
The rustling wind lifts what no one can bear
The stars in the sky look down on the lonely
And not on the ones snuggled so closely
The little lamb connects with the forgotten
The rain wipes the tears of the downtrodden
Connecting with the broken heart
The earth cracks from end to start
Rolling thunder drowns out my screams
Rivers show my worth through their streams
Radiant rays beam down on my darkness
Warming my soul despite all the hardness
While people communicate with each other
Nature gives the crickets as my brother
The towering mountains provide me a home
The moon still smiles despite where I roam
Tall forest trees hide the mocks and sneers
The echo of a canyon talks back and hears
So if alone, know that nature will provide
A home, a safely, a place you can hide
