Goodbye

Megha Shruti 2022 (Dhanbad)

The days went by so  easily ,
We made memories so vividly.
But as the next few days come by,
We realise the day is coming to say a goodbye.

Even if we don't leave the place ,
Our lifestyle is changing fast .
So be it whether it's us or our lifestyle leaving ,
We are bound to say a goodbye .

Adulthood seeks for priorities my frnd ,
It's not a Christmas gift that u send .
You set all your life goals with a constant question "why",
Nd say ur childhood one last goodbye .

This new year will not just be a new-year,
But a change for us all.
All of us will hold their heads high,
But in the end will say a goodbye .

Some will leave frnds for families,
Some will leave their families for change.
But do u know when it feels like to cry?
When u say ur last goodbye.

About this poem

This poem talks about the change evolving around us and in our innerselves. How for one last time we bid goodbyes to the things leaving our life for lifetime.
